While with the Rangers, the netminder was waiting for an offer from a Major League Soccer club in the United States and a clause in his contract states that he is allowed to leave if an MLS club comes calling.

He currently is in talks with New York Red Bull on a possible deal. New York finished fourth in the Eastern Conference in 2006 with 39 points in 32 matches.
